Rakesh Doshetty, M.D.

Dr. Rakesh Doshetty grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago before heading to Texas A&M University for his undergraduate studies. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He then continued his training at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, where he served as Chief Resident in internal medicine and went on to complete his cardiology fellowship.

Following fellowship, Dr. Doshetty worked as a cardiologist at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, before returning to Mount Sinai Hospital to complete an additional fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. Doshetty is board certified in internal medicine, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and general cardiology. His clinical expertise includes:

  • Coronary angiography and intervention
  • Peripheral angiography and intervention
  • Pulmonary embolism and deep venous thrombosis thrombectomy

Outside of medicine, Dr. Doshetty enjoys playing golf and basketball, cycling on his Peloton and experiencing live music across genres and festivals. A lifelong Chicago sports fan, he proudly supports the Bulls and the Bears. One of his personal goals is to visit all seven continents — just three to go.
