A cardiac angiogram is a diagnostic procedure that uses X-ray imaging to visualize the coronary arteries. During the procedure, a contrast dye is injected into the arteries through a catheter, allowing doctors to see blockages or narrowing that might impede blood flow to the heart.
This test is crucial for diagnosing coronary artery disease and guiding interventions such as angioplasty or coronary artery bypass surgery.
When patients have blockage in the arteries of the heart, we will perform coronary angioplasty and stenting using minimally invasive techniques.
A peripheral angiogram is a diagnostic imaging procedure that uses X-rays to visualize the blood vessels outside of the heart, particularly in the legs, arms, or other peripheral regions. A contrast dye is injected into the blood vessels through a catheter, highlighting any blockages, narrowing, or abnormalities.
This test helps diagnose peripheral artery disease and guides treatment decisions for restoring proper blood flow.
When the artery has blockage, we use minimally invasive techniques with balloons and stents to reduce the blockage and improve circulation.
A carotid angiogram is a diagnostic procedure that uses X-ray imaging to visualize the carotid arteries in the neck, which supply blood to the brain. During the procedure, a contrast dye is injected into the carotid arteries via a catheter, allowing doctors to identify blockages, narrowing, or other abnormalities.
This test is essential for assessing the risk of stroke and planning treatments such as carotid artery stenting or surgery.
A blood clot thrombectomy is a medical procedure used to remove a clot from a blood vessel, restoring normal blood flow.
It can be performed using minimally invasive techniques, including mechanical devices that break up and suction out the clot, or through catheter-directed thrombolysis where medication is injected to dissolve the clot.
This procedure is crucial for treating conditions like deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism preventing further complications and improving outcomes.
A transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) is a specialized form of echocardiogram where a small probe with an ultrasound device is passed down the throat into the esophagus, which is close to the heart.
This position allows for very clear images of the heart’s structure and function, providing more detail than a standard echocardiogram.
TEE is particularly useful for detecting conditions such as heart valve problems, blood clots in the heart, and other abnormalities that may not be visible on a regular echocardiogram.
Cardioversion is a medical procedure used to restore a normal heart rhythm in people with certain types of abnormal heartbeats, particularly atrial fibrillation or flutter.
It can be performed using drugs (pharmacological cardioversion) or through electric shocks (electrical cardioversion) delivered to the chest while the patient is under sedation.
The procedure is safe and effective, quickly restoring normal rhythm and improving heart function.
We offer telemedicine care to help deliver healthcare remotely using telecommunications technology, such as phone consultations.
It enables patients to receive medical advice, diagnosis, and treatment from healthcare providers without the need to visit a clinic or hospital in person.
Telemedicine has become increasingly important for patients who are unable to travel to our office and ensures continuous care of their chronic medical conditions.
